Self storage
is a service
offering flexible,
do-it-yourself
storage for
business and
domestic customers.
We provide clean,
dry, storage
units access
to which is
available anytime
during opening
hours. Your
storage unit
is locked with
your own padlock
ensuring that
only you have
access to your
goods.
Why
do I need my
own padlock?
You need your
own padlock
to ensure that
you are the
sole key holder
for your unit.
How
much does it
cost to store
my things with
you?
The cost
of a storage
unit depends
upon the size
required. We
suggest that
you check our
Space Requirement
Guide or speak
to a member
of our staff
to determine
the optimum
storage for
your requirements.
A price can
then be quoted
on the correct
size unit. At
Belfast Self
Storage we have
units ranging
from 16 sq.ft.
to 600 sq. ft.
or more and
prices start
from as little
as £27.00 per
month.
What
is included
in the price
- are there
any hidden extras?
The price you
are quoted by
our staff includes
your storage
unit charge,
rates, service
charges, utility
bills and maintenance
costs. You will
need a padlock
to secure your
unit and you
can purchase
optional contents
insurance if
you wish.
Do
I pay weekly
or monthly?
We invoice customers
on a monthly
basis, payable
in advance.
However, we
only ask for
seven days notice
when you vacate
your unit and
we refund to
you any unused
storage charge.
How
can I pay for
my storage?
We offer a number
of payment options
including cash,
credit card,
cheque, and
standing order.
How
often can I
have access
to my goods
and how much
does it cost
for access?
We offer
unlimited access
to your goods
during opening
hours. Access
is FREE at Belfast
Self Storage.
Do
I have to book
a unit?
No, you can
fill in your
storage agreement
today and move
in immediately.
However to be
guaranteed a
unit of a specific
size on arrival
it is advisable
to book your
unit in advance.
Can
I move in today?
Yes, a member
of our staff
will fill in
our storage
agreement with
you, (this takes
approximately
10 minutes)
and then you
can move your
goods in straight
away.
What
are your opening
hours?
Our reception
opening hours
are:
Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Friday
8:30am - 6:00pm
Thursday 8.30am
- 6.00pm
Saturday 9:00am
- 4:00pm (except
Public Holidays)
Are
there any limitations
on access?
No, once
you become a
Belfast Self
Storage customer
you will be
offered access
six days a week.
Do
I have to sign
a lease?
No you don't,
you sign a straightforward
storage licence
agreement prior
to moving into
your unit. The
contract takes
approximately
10 minutes to
complete.
How
do I get my
goods to you?
You can bring
your goods in
your own vehicle
if you have
enough space.
We have ample
car parking
and large loading/unloading
areas at all
of our stores.
Alternatively,
we can recommend
local van hire/removal
companies to
help with your
transportation.
Do
you do removals/van
hire?
No, we are purely
a self storage
centre. However
we will recommend
approved local
removal/van
hire companies.We
can also recommend
removal services
within Ireland,
Ireland - UK
and Ireland
- Europe.
What
is the smallest
unit you have
available?
Our smallest
units are 16
sq. ft (4ft
x 4ft x 4ft).
Can
I transfer to
another unit
if I find I
have too much
or too little
space?
You are welcome
to move to another
size unit at
any time depending
on your storage
requirements
and availability.
Are
the storage
units heated?
Our units
are not heated.
However, we
do find that
the temperature
within our stores
remains fairly
constant. Our
modern buildings
are very well
insulated so
that our stores
are never too
hot or unduly
cold.
What
sort of security
do you have?
Belfast
Self Storage
has extensive
security features
including:

hour CCTV
located both
inside and
outside the
main building
monitoring
all entrances
& exits
- BT
Redcare, Monitored
Fire and Intruder
Alarm Systems
What
is the minimum
time I can store
with you?
Our minimum
storage period
is 2 weeks.
Once
I have a unit
how long can
I stay?
You are welcome
to stay for
weeks, months,
a year or for
as long as you
require.
Do
I have to give
notice when
I leave?
We only require
seven days notice
of your intention
to vacate your
unit. At this
time a refund
will be processed
for any unused
monies that
you have paid.
Notice can be
given in person,
in writing,
by fax, phone
or e-mail.
What
can I store?
You can
store almost
anything in
our units. The
only exceptions
are:
Living items
such as animals
& plants
Hazardous materials
such as flammable
liquids and
explosives
Items that could
decompose such
as exposed foodstuffs
Unauthorised
goods such as
firearms etc.
Do
you sell boxes
and packing
supplies?
Yes, we
sell an extensive
range of packing
materials from
boxes to bubblewrap.
Will
you accept deliveries
to my unit?
Yes, by
arrangement
we can hold
a key to your
unit and take
delivery of
goods for you.
We sign for
the amount of
packages received
but not for
the contents
as this would
necessitate
us opening your
packages. This
service is offered
free of charge.
Do
you have trolleys
available?
There are
a number of
different size
trolleys and
pallet trucks
available free
of charge for
customer use.
We also have
a forklift truck
available for
any heavier
goods, which
can be operated
on your behalf
by one of our
trained staff.
Is
there someone
at the store
I can talk to
should I have
a problem?
There will
always be a
trained member
of staff available
6 days a week
during reception
opening times.
